Late evening in the park

Watercolor painting of the evening sky and silhouettes of trees.

I painted this watercolor painting of our local park at dusk the other night after my daughter and I took the dog out on an evening walk. The sky was unexpectedly clear and the light was fading, but there was a lot of color in the sky.

I used a pencil, a Uniball Vision pen, Derwent Inktense Watercolors, and Derwent Waterbrushes for this painting.

I did the sky background in a single wash and I used a black Sakura Brush Pen to add the foreground silhouettes after it had dried. I also use a little white gel pen to add white for the lights.
