Another Zoom portrait, this one using some different colors as an experiment from my usual monochrome approach in the past. I used a pencil, a Uniball Vision pen, Derwent Inktense Watercolors, and Derwent Waterbrushes for this painting.
Hand and thumb
Another Zoom portrait using racing green instead of the typical sepia. I like the way the green turned out and picked this snapshot as I thought the inclusion of the hand was interesting. Turned out pretty good I think. Progress. 📈 This piece was done using Derwent Inktense watercolors and water pens, along with a…
Keeping the Zoom portraits going with another one using a deep red instead of the usual sepia. Done using Derwent Inktense watercolors and water pens, along with a Uninball Eye Micro pen for the outlines. Smiles go a long way. Keep smiling all. 😃
Cap on (figure #73)
Continuing with the Zoom portraits. This is one of someone looking at another screen and I liked the angle, and the hat, as a nice change of pace from the standard front view. Still using the larger A4 size of paper for these and it’s fantastic. This was done using Derwent water pens, Inktense Navy…
Zoom fatigue (figure #72)
Another Zoom portrait and this one shows how a lot of us feel. Still using the larger A4 size of paper for these and it’s fantastic. This was done using Derwent water pens, Inktense Sepia watercolor paint, and a Uniball Eye Micro pen.
Mean business (figure #71)
Time for another Zoom portrait. I’m really liking using a larger A4 format of paper for these (versus the smaller A5 I was using previously) I feel like the extra room makes it a bit easier to use the brush pens and get a more even wash effect.
Slightly amused (figure #69)
Keeping the Zoom portrait series going with a coworker looking slightly amused at something that was said. This one is a larger format (A4) than previous portraits (A5) mostly because I ordered the wrong size replacement. The extra space was pretty nice to work with though so happy accident I think.
Self-portrait (figure #68)
Another one for the Zoom series, but this one is me. I don’t do self-portraits often enough as I always find them oddly enjoyable but don’t tend to like the thought of staring at myself so I tend to not do them. They are great practice though and I should do more of them.
Zoom portrait with watercolor and pen (figure #62)
Another portrait via Zoom using my trusty Derwent water pens and a Uniball pen.
Portrait with watercolor and pen (figure #61)
